This is a simple flag spinner desk ornament. It is made from a customized micro machine toy. It uses the 1381-J solar engine with a 3300uF cap hooked to a pager motor. The solar cell is hinged at the back and a light press of the thumb over the hinge will pop the forward latch to open the electronics compartment. The 3300 cap combined with the mid sized solar cell spin the little flag quite frequently. Just under 3 seconds per pop in full sunlight. At around 18 inches under a 300 watt halogen bulb it spins every 10 seconds.
