This is the display case for Probebot 1. It consists of a 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" glass dome and walnut base. A simulation of the lunar surface is sculpted in heat setting clay and painted with acrylic paint. The three symetrical depressions are where the bots foot pads go. Giving the illusion of the probe settling down to a landing on a semi soft surface.
